Patrick Soderlund is the CEO of Embark and says he received several offers for buy arc raiders loot and movie projects, but none was quite right.
I cannot tell you how much interest there has been from companies to create a TV or movie series based on the IP. Soderlund revealed to GamesBeat how many companies had approached him. We don't mind, it will be a lot of fun. However, we have to make sure it is done correctly. I hope that will happen. "I believe the IP works well with something similar."
He clarified, "We do not have anyone currently working on a television or film adaptation."
mmoset Arc Raiders, released in October of 2025, has been a big hit with both critics as well as players. Our Arc Raiders game review gave the title 4.5 stars. It was described by us as "approachable", "palpably tight" and "incredibly intense."
In addition, the number of active players topped 3 million Sunday (4 January). The fact that Hollywood movie and television studios want this game is no surprise. Soderland, however, does not say who has expressed interest.
Even though there's no Arc Raiders TV show or movie to be excited about just yet, you can still enjoy a variety of new adaptations. Fallout season 2 still airs every week on Prime Video. Return to Silent Hill, on the other hand, will hit theaters in January.

Arc Raiders are tired of cheaters "cheating crazy" as a former FPS pro claims the situation could be "worse than peak Call of Duty".
Arc Raiders has been plagued by cheaters, as it continues to grow. The players are being attacked by enemies that can shoot them through the concrete and use other exploits.
Stella Montis - a tiny PvP box - has become a particularly hotspot for this kind of behavior. "Again and Again I Get Killed Behind Walls or Through Walls, People are Cheating Like Crazy and It Makes Me Want To Quit Because You Can't Do Anything Against Them," One Reddit Post, with an accompanying video of them getting blasted out the roof.
The top comment shares a similar story: "I convinced a buddy to try out the game. On our first Stella Montis I got killed by the roof." It is happening quite frequently at the moment. Particularly, cheats that are out-of bounds have spread online.
Arc Raiders is a game that I have had a horrible experience with over the past few days. To be clear, this is a game I enjoy and have already placed it in my top 10 of all-time. However, the cheating might even surpass peak Call of Duty. I don't want to make anyone feel bad.
Is Embark doing any thing about the cheaters?" Another Redditor, frustrated by the situation, asks: "I was killed when someone shot at me from the roof of Stella Montis." There is a belief that cheaters will use specific online software. The same modifications are found in many games such as Battlefield, Call of Duty and Arc Raiders.
Haag wrote in a Twitter posting that the "egregious" amount of cheating is worse than Call of Duty. He goes on and proposes how Embark should deal with cheating.
"I believe the only option that they have to protect this game's success is to do what Epic did with Fortnite before - take legitimate legal action on providers and individuals who are actively providing and using cheating technology," he says.
Epic is a large company that has considerable resources. Embark, while not small, isn't at the level of Epic. Embark will need to deal with the increasing amount of cheating.
