MLB The Show 26: Big May 29th Update Brings Fresh Schedule Changes

If you feel like you’ve finally gotten into a good rhythm with your Diamond Dynasty squad this month, get ready to shake things up.

Market Alert: Flash Sales are Coming

First things first: keep a close eye on your Stubs. Market trackers and schedule indicators are pointing toward a highly anticipated Flash Sale window opening up in the Show Shop, running from Tuesday, May 26th, right up until the main Friday update.

If you are unfamiliar with how these work, Flash Sales usually drop limited-time, high-value packs at a discount every hour. This causes a temporary panic-sell on the community marketplace, dragging core card values down with it. If you have been saving up for a specific player to complete a collection or bolster your lineup, this week is going to be your prime investment window. Buy the dip, hold onto your high-value assets, and don't panic if your team's net worth looks lower than usual for a few days.

New Conquest Maps, Mini Seasons, and Programs

Friday's update is also heavily refreshing our single-player and multiplayer grinds. We are getting a total rotation for the Diamond Quest maps and an overhaul of the reward tiers, meaning it is time to wrap up any ongoing runs you have right now.

Alongside the Diamond Quest shift, the update is delivering:

  • A brand-new Conquest map to conquer (perfect for knocking out quick 3-inning games and hoarding hidden packs).

  • Fresh active multiplayer Events.

  • A whole new program packed with players and packs.

XP Path Momentum: Chasing the Top Tier

For those grinding out the 3rd Inning XP Reward Path, this end-of-the-month update is going to add a lot of momentum. The new program and Conquest goals are designed to dump massive chunks of XP into our progression tracks.

This is going to make it significantly easier to chase down those elusive, top-tier "blood diamond" rewards and Red Rarity items. If you felt like you were falling behind on the Inning program, Friday should provide the exact injection of content you need to catch up.

Clean Gameplay Ahead of the Drop

The coolest part about this upcoming content drops is that the foundation has already been laid. SDS recently pushed out Game Update 10, which was quietly one of the most important patches we’ve had in a while. It ironed out several frustrating bugs that would have ruined a fresh content launch:

  • It fixed those annoying "program errors" that kept crashing things when you were just trying to navigate the Diamond Dynasty menus.

  • It finally resolved the screen-freeze glitch that happened right during no-doubt home run presentations in Conquest mode.

  • It addressed the duplicate challenge bugs that were literally breaking Diamond Quest runs for people.
